I cannot change my cPanel password in the client area

If you are receiving a Password Change Failed error message, please ensure you choose a much more complex password. We recommend using a password that consists of both numbers, letters and a variance of upper and lowercase letters.

Please note that the 'Password Strength' box is an estimate and does not necessarily match the cPanel requirements for password strength. If your password fails to update, the password is not strong enough and you will need to choose a stronger one, despite what the 'Password Strength' box may indicate.
