Please be advised that this is a local (client side) browser issue and is not a server issue.
Some browsers may contain an older version of webkit which causes particular AJAX calls to fail. In this instance the only solution is to either attempt to upgrade the webkit that ships with your browser, or to temporarily use a different web browser to perform the needed tasks in cPanel.
