Clarification of Payment Changes

POSTED BY Doug ON August 2, 2010 AT 11:55 pm UNDER announcements

It seems that with our last post and mail out, some customers are still confused regarding the situation. We apologize for this, and hope to clear up this confusion with this blog post. I’ll try to summarize the situation as simply as possible;

  • Our prices are not because increased in this change.
  • All PayPal subscriptions have been canceled so that they can be recreated by you (the client), to send payment to our new PayPal account. To recreate a PayPal subscription, simply view an unpaid invoice on or before the due date, and you’ll see a ‘PayPal Subscribe’ button. Click on this and follow the steps to create a new subscription.
  • We are not dropping support for payment in USD. Customers may choose to pay in either GBP or USD. You are not forced to use either currency.
  • Customers in the UK and those outside of the UK paying by Google Checkout will have to pay in GBP. This is a limitation with Google Checkout. Customers choosing USD during the checkout process on our order forms will have the USD amount converted dynamically using the current exchange rates to GBP. The price will remain the same, just in a different currency. Your bank or card provider will then re-convert the amount back to USD on your statement(s).
  • All customers, regardless of location, paying via PayPal can pay in either USD or GBP. You are not forced to use either.
  • Your hosting accounts are not being terminated.
  • If you have any questions or comments about this change, please let us know.
